We approach our roles with passion and a determination to do excellent work and change the world. The judges are going to be the deciders of whether that evidence is scientifically reliable or not, so it is important for us to have a basic understanding of how these tools work. We are generally prohibited from doing independent research into these kinds of evidentiary issues. It’s good to have a solid foundation, but ultimately, it’s going to come down to the evidence that’s presented in any given case. I have not had any conversations with any other potential bidders, because I think that if we’re going to have that process, the judge shouldn’t come into it with predetermined notions. I began my career as a deputy prosecutor in the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor’s Office.
